Our company is a rapidly growing technology firm in Cambridge providing high-end technology solutions for companies in a variety of industries, with specific expertise in the Life Sciences industry (Biotech, Pharmaceutical and Health Care).

We are looking for an IT Generalist to join our team. Ideal candidates must have expertise in these three key areas: VMware, SAN and Linux. In addition, candidates should have hands-on experience across a broad range of technologies as well as advanced skills in each of the following areas:

·         VMware – ESX 3.5+, HA, DRS, VMotion, iSCSI storage (a plus)

·         Storage – SAN, NAS, iSCSI

·         Linux – common Linux distribution, 5+ years

·         Windows – Windows 2003 required, Windows 2000 and 2008 preferred

·         SQL – MS SQL 2005, MySQL, Oracle 11+ (a plus)

·         Networks – basic routing, DHCP, DNS, Cisco CLI, TCP/IP

·         Application Support – common packaged software: Great Plains, Citrix, AV, SharePoint

·         Email Platforms – Exchange 2003 required, Exchange 2007 preferred

Candidates must have at least five years of recent IT experience working with a variety of technologies. For many engagements, our IT Generalist will be working on-site at one of our clients’ locations, so demonstrated expertise in working with clients (both at the management level and the end-user level), consultants and multiple technology teams is essential. This position requires someone who is self-managing, able to work independently and capable of completing assignments successfully with minimal direct supervision.

Additional key skills and qualities:

·         Must have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field (advanced degree a plus)

·         Must be intelligent, inquisitive, confident and energetic

·         Must be able to encounter unfamiliar technologies, applications and situations, figure them out, and provide solutions that match both our clients’ and our company’s needs

·         Must be very organized, dependable and detail-oriented

·         Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, agile environment

·         Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Experience in the Life Sciences industry preferred but not required

This is a contract-to-perm position that requires frequent travel to our local clients’ locations as well as occasional travel to client locations outside of the Cambridge area.

 Our company is a rapidly growing technology firm in Cambridge providing high-end technology solutions for companies in a variety of industries, with specific expertise in the Life Sciences industry (Biotech, Pharmaceutical and Health Care).

We are looking for a top-notch DBA who is interested in taking on short-term contracts (ranging from a couple of days to a couple of weeks) doing database administration. Experience with Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL is highly desired.

The ideal candidate is someone who is a full-time consultant (has clients) or has a full-time or part-time position and is looking for extra hours. Our position will grow in scope, but to start it will have limited hours. This is a consulting position and requires some travel to our co-location facility and to clients. Candidates must have dependable transportation.

This position requires someone who is self-managing, able to work independently and capable of completing assignments successfully with minimal direct supervision.

Some projects may be given to us with very little lead time, so flexibility and availability on short notice are key attributes of a successful candidate. He or she must also be highly organized, detail-oriented, task-oriented and extremely focused. In addition, he or she must have strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

This is a contract position involving a series of short-term contracts with our company.

Our company is a rapidly growing technology firm in Cambridge providing high-end technology solutions for companies in a variety of industries, with specific expertise in the Life Sciences industry (Biotech, Pharmaceutical and Health Care).

We are looking for a Network Administrator to join our team. Responsibilities include:

·         Collaborate with clients and coworkers to determine network solutions and user requirements

·         Implement, upgrade and manage Small Business solutions to Enterprise solutions

·         Proven expertise in Cisco equipment and firewall configuration management

·         Evaluate effectiveness and performance of network (LAN/WAN)

·         Identify, analyze and resolve network problems using diagnostic tools

·         Implement security solutions across the network (NAC, Tripwire)

·         Perform server administration and backup administration

Ideal candidate is someone who is a full-time consultant (has clients) or has a full-time or part-time position and is looking for extra hours.
