Linux System Administrator

Validated Cloud is hiring in Germany. We’re looking for a skilled infrastructure engineer who enjoys working with all aspects of a cloud platform (storage, hypervisor, systems, support systems and automation tools). The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Linux in a datacenter infrastructure, and supporting and interfacing with clients when problems are reported.  Experience working in a regulated environment containing validated computer systems along with a knowledge of regulations and standards such as 21 CFR Part 11, Eudralex Annex 11, ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 will be a big plus.

Candidates should have hands-on experience across a broad range of technologies and be comfortable working in the following areas:

  • Linux distributions RedHat, Ubuntu, CentOS
  • VMware ESXi
  • Microsoft Windows Server administration including:
    • Windows Server 2008R2, 2012R2, and 2016
    • Active Directory
    • DNS
    • DHCP
    • Remote Desktop Services (RDS)
  • OpenSource administration including:
    • Apache / Nginx
    • MySQL / Postrgess
  • Basic understanding of networking principals including:
    • IP addressing
    • Subnets
    • Routing
    • Switching
  • Basic understanding of database server administration (database backup, restore, maintenance plans, ODBC, etc)

Qualified candidates will likely have three years of recent IT experience working with a variety of technologies. For this engagement, the System Administrator / Consultant will be working in our office and/or remotely.  Demonstrated expertise in working with clients, consultants and multiple technology teams is essential. This position requires someone who is self-managing, able to work independently and capable of completing assignments successfully with minimal direct supervision. This position will be a work for home position until a new office in the Bay area is established. Travel to Massachusetts for initial training and semi-annual company meetings is required.

Senior Quality Assurance/Validation Specialist

Senior Quality Assurance/Validation Specialist: must work closely with IT and Project Management teams in providing compliance evaluations to our pharmaceutical company clients. The position is responsible for ensuring that all documentation related to Process Validation and Computer Systems Validation meets ICH/GMP guidelines including FDA, MHRA, ISO, and EU regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry, therefore mandating advanced knowledge in computer system validation, infrastructure qualification, technology, applicable GxP regulations, 21 CFR Part 820 and operational Quality.

 

The Senior Quality Assurance/Validation Specialist is also responsible for:

  • Supporting validation efforts and deliverables for projects requiring validation of pharmaceuticals for client companies.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable FDA regulations, ISO, MHRA and EU standards for regulated system compliance for pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Medical Device companies.
  • Creating and executing validation test scripts and document test results in accordance with pharmaceutical industry standards.
  • Reviewing/revising validation documents and Standard Operating Procedures and Policies as directed.

 

The Senior Quality Assurance/Validation Specialist must also:

  • Work closely with IT and Project Management to define, plan, schedule, and conduct computer system validation activities for Life Science companies.
  • Work with project and functional teams to meet scheduled milestones.
  • Provide training to project team members in Computer Systems Validation methodology and procedures for medical products.

 

The minimum requirements of the position of Senior Quality Assurance/Validation Specialist include at least a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Biology, or a related field, or the equivalent; and, 1 year of experience in process validation and working with quality standards based on ICH/GMP guidelines.

Network Administrator – Level II

This position will be both an operational support and a project based implementation and upgrade role. We’re looking for a skilled network engineer with experience supporting networking environments for both infrastructure and end user computing at customer sites and remotely.

Candidates should have hands-on experience across a broad range of technologies and be comfortable working via command line with the majority of the following equipment especially the Cisco ASA:

  • Cisco ASA (including FirePower)
  • Cisco Nexus switching
  • Cisco ASR routing
  • Meraki security, switching, and wireless devices
  • HP ProCurve switches
  • Citrix NetScaler

Typical day-to-day job responsibilities can include (but are not limited to):

  • Break/fix support and resolution via customer tickets
  • Working with ISPs to troubleshoot connectivity and performance
  • Network design and implementation
  • Network performance troubleshooting
  • Firewall ACL design and implementation
  • VPN tunnel configuration and troubleshooting
  • VLAN and port configuration including VPC and LACP
